Phase 1
Planning & Conceptual Design

Working closely with you, we will conduct an in-depth analysis of your project. We will review any projections you may have made, your market, your operations, and if appropriate, any new services you will provide. At this time, we will identify space requirements, plans for future growth and actively look for opportunities that maximize the efficiency and value of your medical building project.

Everything we do in Phase 1 is based solely on the purpose of achieving your program goals. Our design solution consists of:

  • Ownership & Financing Consultation (if necessary)
  • In-depth Site Analysis including an HBE multidisciplinary review with Cost-Benefit Analysis provided.
  • A documented functional and space program defining utilization requirements and needs.
  • Planning with all parties involved with the project to ensure completely meeting everyone's needs.
  • Site plan showing traffic flow and parking.
  • Floor plans showing all departmental relationships, room sizes, furniture and equipment locations
  • Exterior views of the buildings
  • Preliminary cost estimates

Our integrate team of architects, engineers and construction personnel work together to assure our design solution can be delivered on time and within budget.


Phase 2
Design Development & Design-Build Agreement

No one delivers a better cost/value relationship than HBE. Through the course of design development we continue to refine your solution so it enhances your project value. Equally as important, we provide you with a budget that details the scope of work for each element of the project, a comprehensive schedule and the cost for the project. HBE will provide a construction contract for your review to proceed to construction documents and construction of your project.

Phase 2 includes:

  • Site plan showing grades, elevations, utilities, drives and parking.
  • Detailed floor plans, building sections, elevations, finish and door schedules.
  • Detailed interior plans showing location of furniture, interior finishes with specifications.
  • Facility's specialty equipment requirements.
  • Outline specifications defining all materials, equipment, workmanship and quality standards.
  • Proposal/Design-Build Agreement providing all architectural, engineering, and construction services necessary to construct your medical office with a Guaranteed Lump Sum Price.

Phase 3
Construction Documents & Construction

By the time you reach the construction phase, your project is designed for optimum efficiency while maximizing the value of your capital investment.
