Cottage Health System (CHS) asked HBE to perform an alternative design proposal for its replacement hospital in Goleta, California on the heels of HBE providing a superior design and value solution for CHS’ Santa Ynez campus in Solvang, California,. Once again, CHS preferred HBE’s design over the original design and found our Guaranteed Lump Sum price to be of significantly greater value.
Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital will be a 149,900 square foot, 52-bed, all private acute care replacement hospital. It will include a surgery suite with 6 ORs, one endoscopy and 20 prep/delivery, an Emergency Department with 20 positions, a Radiology Department and a Wound Care Center. The program also includes: Physical Therapy, Dietary, Lab, Administration, Admitting, Medical Records, Rehab and Pharmacy. In addition, the two story facility is structured for a third story.
