HBE’s Provides a Superior Health Care Solution
Samaritan Medical Center, located in Watertown, New York, selected HBE Corporation to design and build a new $55.3 million, 128,300 sq. ft., four-story patient pavilion, a three-story, 350-space parking garage and renovation of 72,000 sq. ft. of existing hospital space. This project will be completed in three phases.
Phase I includes the new parking garage which will provide a helipad for emergency transportation of patients into and out of the hospital and will provide convenient access to the main entrance of the hospital addition as well as the new emergency room which will be constructed in the second phase of the project.
Phase II includes the addition of a four-story patient pavilion that will include the highest need care units of emergency, surgery, intensive care and patient care.
Phase III includes renovations to the existing hospital that will allow for the interface of the new and existing building areas.
This project will address capacity deficiencies, modernize outdated facilities that pre-date 1972, and prepare for future needs of patients from the community. HBE’s design-build solution for Samaritan Medical Center involves an efficient combination of existing and new buildings, ultimately providing a superior health care environment for patients, families and staff. |
