Ground Floor

|
A major addition on the east side of the main hospital building consisting of a basement, ground floor and a second level.
Consists of a new Emergency Department complete with trauma, cardiac patient bays, patient treatment areas, a new spacious patient diagnostic imaging space along with a special area for open MRI diagnostics. The main entry ties the facilities' past with the future through the reuse of dramatic support columns that act as a focal point for the original hospital building. An ambulance entry and canopy now complement the new patient registration space and patient waiting areas vastly improving patient flow and convenience due to new parking and driveway access created as part of the project. New laminar flow surgical space, surgical support services and patient prep and recovery suites are included.
