LOUIS (July, 2007) –
St. Louis-based HBE Corporation announced it has
been awarded a $78,959,464 contract to build a new three level hospital
in Hanford, California. This is the sixth major project HBE has
initiated in California this year. The company continues to play a
significant factor in a state where building costs are more than double
the national average.

The 142-bed, all
private acute care green field hospital will maintain the integrity of
the local community with beautiful mission-style architecture. “The new
campus supports our vision of being a regional health care network that
is recognized as the best place to receive care, the best place to
practice medicine and the best place to work,” said Richard L. Rawson,
CEO and President of Adventist Health Services in the central San
Joaquin Valley. “This will be a landmark medical center that our
community, our physicians and our employees can take pride in.”
The new
hospital will include 120 medical/surgical beds, two 11-bed ICU/CCU’s,
surgery unit, emergency department, laboratory, dietary, pharmacy,
admitting, administration, respiratory therapy, medical records,
education classroom area and support areas as required. The program
also includes two floors of shell space for future medical/surgical
expansion and a helipad on the roof.
